' and there their gaze was met by a vast field of stone pillars sculpted by nature...or were they'
This is the first painting i've posted for a while and its good to be back. Hope someone likes it.
Time : 3hours (consisting of 10 minutes here and there over 3 months....I've been quite busy with University)
Software: Painter 8 & IX using mainly acrylic and Photoshop for level adjustment.

hmm i like your style with the rock, but i think you should have added more contrast, and more lights. it seems too dark, maybe thats your point idunno.
i like the design though.

Thanks for the critique native the whole painting was meant to be dark and using a minimum palettte, but I may have gone overboard with the level changes made in photoshop, lol. However the whole point of this picture was to try and develop a way of painting rocks as i have not been painting long so I am happy you like the rock

I really like the palette...so that just proves the old 'different strokes...' thing!

This looks great but GFX is a terrible place for showing panoramic paintings like this...maybe you should post a link for a bigger version?

This looks good, I like the choice of colours, the clouds are very nicely done, I think there should be a little bit more contrast. Those two people are a nice look for the whole painting.
Good job. I would make it a bit darker, shadowier.

It's a bit monocromatic because of all the grey. Some highlights would be good
